Overview
On this Mombasa guided tour, see the noteworthy and scenic locations of Kenya’s second-largest city. Listen as your guide discusses Mombasa’s fascinating history, which spans from the 800-year-old Old Town through colonisation to the present, as you explore this flourishing metropolis teeming with culture, nature, and innovation. Discover the darker side of the city’s past by going to the site of the former slave market.
Mombasa’s unique cultural tour. The tour begins at the Fort Jesus National Museum, where admission costs are $12 for non-residents, $4 for residents of East Africa, and Ksh. 200 for Kenyan citizens. We then visit the historic Town, which has a long history reaching back to 200 AD, and the historic dhow harbor. As we travel to the Elephant Tusk and Swaminayara temple, a stop at the slave market is necessary once more. We take our clients to Akamba wood carvers so they can purchase mementos.
